Oxide Computer raises $445M for data center rack expansion

Oxide Computer, a startup building integrated data center racks, has secured $445 million in a Series D round led by returning investor Eclipse Capital. AMD Ventures, Riot Ventures, Jane Street, Atreides Management, and USIT also participated, with USIT having led the company’s $200 million raise in February.
The funding is intended to support production of Oxide’s rack-scale systems, according to the company. SiliconANGLE reported the round earlier today.
The raise arrives as AI workloads drive increased demand for specialized data center hardware. When we covered CScale’s $188 million funding on 1 October, the startup was developing optical interconnects for similar use cases. Delos Data, another Intel alumni-led chip startup, raised $100 million last month to improve data movement in AI data centers.
Oxide’s latest round is significantly larger than its previous funding, which may reflect investor interest in its approach. The company has not shared details on revenue or customer adoption, leaving its production timeline unclear.
