Who qualifies for the program
Startups must be less than 7 years old and at Series A or earlier. They must build a single software-based product or service; development shops and agencies are not eligible.
Companies must not have previously participated in MongoDB for Startups or its predecessor, the MongoDB Startup Accelerator. They need an active website and LinkedIn profile.
Tiered support for every startup stage
Inspire is for bootstrapped startups and provides baseline credits. Grow adds expanded credits and hands-on technical support for early-funded teams. Innovate unlocks additional credits and expertise for rising VC-backed startups. Scale gives maximum credits, priority support, and expert guidance for rapidly scaling companies.
How Atlas credits work
Credits are applied via a promo code received in the welcome email.
Credits cannot pay for past invoices. A credit card is required as backup but won’t be charged until credits are exhausted.
When credits expire and how to extend
Startups have 12 months to activate the promo code. Once activated, credits expire after 12 months.
Extensions are considered on a case-by-case basis. Email [email protected] when 3 months or less remain before expiration.
How to check credit balance and expiration
Log in to account.mongodb.com, go to Billing, and scroll to Available Credits. The expiration date appears under Active Dates in MM/DD/YY format.
Partner ecosystem and additional benefits
The program includes matched credit offers from partners like Fireworks AI and Temporal. These provide complementary technologies for AI and workflow orchestration.
Voyage AI tokens are included for high-performance retrieval with advanced embedding and reranking models.
